It's just the new MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo that?s having problems. They have never had any problems with their Airport reception, and they do not currently have any problems with their Airport reception. They do not oscillate or fluctuate their wireless signal strength at all.

Both of those computers are solidly at full signal strength, like they always have been. "Meanwhile ? sitting on this very same desk are an iBook G4 and a Power Mac G4 tower, and neither of those computers are having any of these problems. Sometimes it takes several minutes before it goes back to full signal strength again, so during that time while we are waiting for it to return to full signal strength, we have absolutely zero Internet connection at all. When it does this, it oscillates between seeing all the wireless networks in the area and then seeing none of the wireless networks in the area (including our very own Airport Extreme Base Station). It basically flickers back and forth between full signal strength and no signal strength at all. "We just received our brand new 2.33 GHz 15? MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo from Apple today, and immediately we noticed that there is a major problem with Airport reception on this MacBook Pro. It does not reliably stay at full signal strength, even though the Airport Extreme Base Station is sitting just 5 feet away from it. Some users are reporting poor AirPort signal reception from MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo (Late 2006) models.
